About the Company:

Technical Level Responsibilities:
As Assistant MEAL Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and team management skills, including mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Developing frameworks, Logical Framework Approach (LFA), and qualitative and quantitative indicators.
  • Designing business processes and formats for implementing activities.
  • Embedding quality and accountability in organizational and programmatic processes.
  • Using analytical and communication skills effectively.
  • Designing the MEAL system and mainstreaming it into program cycle management.
  • Analyzing MEAL data in a learning-based manner.
  • Understanding rural development, with a focus on participatory processes, joint management, and gender issues.
  • Writing comprehensive reports on both process and progress.
  • Conducting strategic reviews.
  • Providing training in the development and implementation of MEAL.
  • Developing case studies, success stories, and human interest stories.
  • Management of organizational budget and financial planning.

Operational Level Responsibilities:
At the operational level, your duties include:

  • Support periodic reporting of each project implemented in respective Area Office as per Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework.
  • Tracking progress against output and outcome level indicators for each project.
  • Communicating key findings and observations related to project implementation plans and processes to line managers and project leads.
  • Conducting debriefing sessions with relevant teams on key findings and observations to outline action points and course correction measures.
  • Maintain and update overall programme/project level progress against output and outcome indicators on indicator matrix.
  • Design and conduct project-related reviews and reflections to extract key lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Designing and conducting knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) assessments, and baseline surveys.
  • Collecting and consolidating KAP assessments, and baseline reports.
  • Collecting and documenting case studies and success stories.
  • Facilitating internal and external action research activities such as impact studies and evaluations.
  • Updating the area’s performance monitoring tool (PMT(s) and Management Information System (MIS).

Organizational Level Responsibilities:

Accountability:
You will be responsible for:

  • Reporting non-compliance with beneficiary selection criteria to concerned manager and project/programme manager.
  • Receiving, registering and investigating complaints focused on the beneficiary community as per Islamic Relief Pakistan Grievance Handling Policy Document.
  • Assisting, updating and sharing MIS/MEAL Officer Sindh in handling monthly complaints and learning log sheet.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Person Details:
To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • Minimum qualification of Master’s or Bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Sciences.
  • At least 1 year of experience with a Masters degree or 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, SPSS, and familiarity with working with online databases.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, flexibility and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions in plains.
  • Good communication skills in local languages as well as English and Urdu languages.
  • Positive attitude and philosophy of continuous improvement.
  • Understanding and commitment to organizational values, vision, mission, and SEAH protocols.

Value Added Skills:
Additionally, skills related to responsibility, punctuality, trustworthiness, conflict resolution, and experience working for a humanitarian organization, particularly in emergency preparedness in developing democracies, are beneficial.
