Technical Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Finance Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Checking invoices raised by suppliers and ensuring their compliance, recording them in ERP system or Omana system.
- Handling petty and bank payments with proper review and verification.
- Managing petty cash, reconciling it weekly, and ensuring replenishment.
- Reviewing all payments as per IRP financial guidelines and SOPS.
- Assisting in accurate check preparation and deduction of applicable taxes.
- Calculating taxes and assisting in the submission of taxes to the government treasury as per law.
- Ensuring delivery of checks to suppliers or concerned persons.
- Maintaining proper log of all used and unused check books and receipt books.
- Recording all expenditure and tax transactions in the ERP system.
- Tracking all progress to ensure timely returns.
- Assisting in liaising with area finance and bankers, answering queries on financial matters and guidelines.
- Maintaining an up-to-date filing system of financial records with proper filing, indexing, and security.
- Coordinating with IR’s bank as directed by Finance Office/Area Finance Lead, including reconciliation of bank statements.
Operational Responsibilities:
Your operational duties include:
- Assisting in the preparation and management of financial records/information.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and other progress reports for management information.
- Proper filling of forms and formats as per required standards.
- Close coordination with Field Office Lead/District Coordinator and Finance Officer for effective implementation of policies/instructions.
Organizational Responsibilities:
You will also be involved in organizational tasks such as:
- Ensuring compliance with IR policies and procedures for effective service delivery.
- Demonstrating IR values and principles in real time.
- Adherence to IR zero tolerance policy against bribery and corruption.
- Facilitating the organizational stance on climate change through the adaptation of an environmentally friendly approach.
- Respect and promote organizational stance on workforce diversity.
- Assisting in periodic field visits to observe challenges and implement activities at ground level.
- Participate and facilitate the implementation of IR weather programs.
Person Details:
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- Minimum qualification of B.COM, BBA, or MBA.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with a Master’s degree and 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Strong emotional intelligence, flexibility and communication skills.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions.
- Good communication skills in local languages as well as English/Urdu languages.
- Positive attitude and philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Understanding and commitment to organizational values, vision, mission, and SEAH protocols.
Value Added Skills:
Additionally, skills such as knowledge in grants management, proficiency in the AX dynamic ERP system, and proficiency in MS Excel are beneficial.
